ATO Formulation: Sb2O3
CAS No.1309-64-4 EINECS No.215-175-0
General Introduce:
ATO is a single, odorless white powder that is only moderately soluble in water. ATO is frequently employed as a fire retardant in the plastic and rubber industries, as well as in applications like whitening frit in ceramic, coating pigment, and the catalytic reforming of petroleum.

Fire Retardant:
The first material to be employed as a flame retardant was ATO. ATO first melts to form a tough film that protects against the air during combustion. It then absorbs the heat of the material to bring the temperature down. Additionally, in high temperatures, the vaporization of ATO will absorb the air's oxygen content, which will aid in putting out fires.
ATO is commonly employed in polymers such as nylon, ABS, polypropylene, polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride, and synthetic resin.
ATO is an additive fire retardant, which means that it is frequently used in conjunction with other fire retardants or smoke suppressants, such as aluminum hydroxide, zinc borate, bromine fire retardant, etc. Depending on the composition chosen by the customer, all of these components will work well when combined.
